Middletown Country Club

Middletown is a compact 80 acres of challenging golf, with rolling hills and large specimen trees that have watched many golfers travel its fairways over time. It has retained its old time feel with tees and greens in close proximity, allowing golfers to walk the course if they choose.

College Kids Make Waves

The fall collegiate golf season was a strong one for Makefield Highlands’ Dan Altieri. The Swarthmore College junior claimed the Mason Dixon Intercollegiate and the Gino Biondi Memorial tournaments and was second in the Montgomery Cup.
At Glenmaura National in the Biondi, he won the individual title with a 71-76—147 effort. At The Bridges he claimed the Mason Dixon with a 75-73—148 tally. At Downingtown he carded 76-70—146 in taking second.
Jericho National’s Ambrose Abbracciamento was named Golfer of the Week twice in the Big Sky Conference for the University of Hartford. The Washington Crossing native tied for 10th in the Old Dominion University Outer Banks Intercollegiate then compiled rounds of 66-75-69 at Kilmanic Golf Club in North Carolina.
Penn State University sophomore Madelein Herr was 16th in the William & Mary Invitational held at the River Course at Kingsmill in Williamsburg, Va. The New Hope resident carded rounds of 74-78-76. At the Nittany Lion Invitational the Jericho National member placed second with a two-under-par 215.
