Middletown Country Club

Middletown is a compact 80 acres of challenging golf, with rolling hills and large specimen trees that have watched many golfers travel its fairways over time. It has retained its old time feel with tees and greens in close proximity, allowing golfers to walk the course if they choose.

Herr 14th in girls Junior PGA

Erica Herr put together an outstanding week at the 38th annual Junior PGA Championship at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, VA. The 17th-year-old incoming senior at Council Rock North High School tied for the low round of the day in round three, a sparkling 68 on her way to a 72-hole total of 5-over-par 289.


Herr carded rounds of 75-71-68-75, scoring 9 birdies, 12 bogey and a single double bogey as she finished 14th. Earlier this year Herr, who is committed to attend Wake Forest University, competed in the United States Women's Open on Long Island.

Herr dropped in Am Elite 8

Zachary Herr of Jericho National Golf Club advanced to the Elite Eight of the Golf Association of Philadelphia's 113th amateur championships before being ousted by Conrad Von Borsig on the 20th hole of their match.


Earlier Herr had won his round of 16 match against Mercer Oaks Charles Cai, 3 and 1. He qualified in the stroke play portion of the event with a 69-73--142 effort.


Yardley's Kyle Sterbinsky became the youngest medalist in the event's history. The 16-year-old qualified at 68-71--139. He dropped his opening round match.
